Residential Inspection Services
QRI is able to provide our clients with a wide range of inspection services dependent upon their individual needs. All of our residential Home Inspections are conducted in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Codes of Ethics of the American Society of Home Inspectors and/or the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board . We offer free telephone consultation to our clients for as long as they own their home.
We offer the following types of Residential Inspections:
Annual Maintenance Inspections for Homeowners For any Homeowner.... an annual inspection makes good sense to keep up with how well the house is aging and to make sure that any serious problems are discovered as early as possible
Pre-Purchase Home Inspections
The acquisition of a new home or property can be stressful. It can involve high levels of anxiety and, often, there are severe time constraints placed on the transaction and on the decision-making process. A professional Home Inspection serves to remove some of the unknowns from the process and greatly increases the chances of a successful and satisfying purchase.
Remember, if a buyer does not inspect what they are buying...... then they cannot expect to get ......what it is that they thought ......that they bought.
Pre-Sale Home Inspections

In recent years, the character of the real estate market has changed significantly. The old adage of "let the buyer beware" is no longer acceptable. In today's litigious society, the seller of a property bears the burden of providing full and complete disclosure regarding the condition of their property. The more that a seller discloses, the less likely he or she might experience legal conflict after the closing. Any undisclosed conditions have the potential for legal conflict, with no limitations on what should have been disclosed. Even though a house may have been "code compliant" when it was built, that fact does not relieve a seller from potential liability of nondisclosure of deterioration or wear and tear as the home has became older. There are numerous conditions about which a buyer is entitled to be informed when purchasing a home. The scrupulous buyer is going to appreciate the fact that a home has been pre-inspected by a firm that stands behind their inspection.

The inspection methodolgy is identical to a Pre-Purchase inspection. The only difference is that the seller pays for the inspection rather than the buyer. A pre-sale Home inspection allows the seller to know 'now' whether or not there are any significant or major defects with the home and whether or not everything is functioning as intended. Why wait until you have spent considerable time negotiating a sales price, only to be faced with significant surprises later? Re-negotiation is difficult and stressful for both the buyer and the seller.
End of Warranty Period Inspections
Commonly referred to as "11 month" inspections, this inspection is for the homeowner who is nearing the end of their 1 year warranty for a newly constructed home. This type of inspection is, potentially, of such spectacular importance to the new homeowner that its importance cannot be overstated. Don't let your warranty expire with covered items that need to be corrected. You would be amazed at the types of deficiencies that we see in new houses.
Annual Maintenance Inspections
This type of inspection is to provide peace of mind. A QRI inspector will observe all of the various areas of the home e.g. the exterior grade, building exterior, crawl space, roof, and attic to provide input to the homeowner concerning any significant problem areas and any maintenance that might have been "deferred". All systems will be observed and/or operated.
